Check out some of the guitar scale exercises to improve your guitar playing. Spend ten minutes or more everyday doing these slowly is the fastest way to build speed and dexterity on the guitar. Start out with the simple ones if you are a beginner, there's no time limit, don't get hung up on speed, accuracy is all that matters, as long as you play in time preferably with a metronome you will achieve greater heights on the guitar in a much shorter time than trying to go to fast. Go slower, learn faster, it is that simple. Do this and you'll be a guitar god in no time. Learning guitar should be fun but some hard work is also necessary, don't give up!
